We practice Ashtanga-style yoga and offer community classes every week in the Thirroul Community Centre & Moore Street Yoga Room in Austinmer to share our passion for this practice.

We acknowledge the traditional custodians of Dharawal country and the elders past, present and emerging.

All classes are based on the Primary Series - Ashtanga Yoga

Not suitable in pregnancy.

Saturday Mornings
8.00am - 9.15am. 

Suitable for students with some yoga experience and Ashtanga practitioners wanting a traditional led Primary class.

Modifications offered.

Suitable for Beginners.

STARTS 18TH MAY 2022

Wednesday Evenings
6.00pm - 7.00pm. 

Suitable for students with NO yoga experience and practitioners who have had a break and want to restart their yoga practice. Students are guided through a gentle sequence and finish with a relaxing meditation.

Monday Nights 
6.30 - 7.45pm

Open level guided class based on the Ashtanga Half Primary Series. Beginners are welcome. Mysore style practitioners are welcome to self-practice.

Sunday Morning
9am - 12pm

Continuing professional development for yoga teachers and students with 3+ years experience regular practice. Workshops cover a range of topics and are approved for CPD points with Yoga Australia.

$120 per workshop. Book & pay.

Great for Beginners and those wanting a slow paced class with modifications.

Tuesday Mornings
10.00 - 11.15am

A gentle & grounding mixed-level yoga class. Suitable for all practitioners. Props available for those needing support. Challenges for those wanting to grow their practice.

You do not need to book ahead as they Excelsior Hall is a large, open space with views of the Escarpment.

NOT FLEXIBLE?

 

You’re not the only one, but you’ve come to the right place. A consistent yoga practice will help you develop your flexibility and strength slowly over time. But alignment principles are important, we can help with that.

 

FOR LADIES

 

During pregnancy, we recommend you take pre-natal yoga classes with one of the wonderful local pre-natal yoga teachers in the area. We currently do not offer pre-natal classes.

It is not recommended to practice Ashtanga yoga on the first 3 days of your period. If you do practice, avoid twisting postures and inversions.

NEED A MAT?

Due to COVID 19 we are unable to provide mats or yoga props in classes. Please bring your own equipment

LOOKING FOR SOMETHING SPIRITUAL?

Practicing postures (asanas), breathing exercises (pranayama), and meditation are valuable steps in developing any contemplative practice. They help calm us down so we can focus the mind and connect you to the Self.
